The myHub Travel Award supports Master's and Ph.D. students, as well as postdoctoral appointees in the School of Medicine & Dentistry, as they pursue meaningful professional development opportunities beyond their academic research. This award is designed to help trainees build new skills, explore emerging techniques, and engage in career exploration experiences that enhance their current training and future career pathways.

Each year, myHub will present three individual awards of $1,500-one to a Master's student, one to a Ph.D. student, and one to a postdoctoral appointee. Eligible activities may be in-person or virtual and must directly support the applicant's professional and career development goals. Please note that this award is not intended for academic research conferences or training tied directly to your academic research project.

Opportunities must take place between June 1, 2026, and May 31, 2027. All applicants are due by Friday, May 15, 2026, and must include a CV and a budget proposal. Awardees will be required to provide a one-page summary of their experience for publication on the myHub blog at the conclusion of their experience.

Individuals awarded must provide a one-page follow-up report about the conference, event, or professional development opportunity within one month of the opportunity. Award winners must submit receipts for reimbursement to the GEPA Office by 12:00 pm on Friday, June 4, 2027.

Note: Travel Award winners will be highlighted on the myHub Travel Award webpage and travel report follow-up will be posted to help individuals discover what has been done and the possibilities for future award winners to explore.
